Welcome to the Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators' (MASFAA) homepage!
MASFAA is a regional organization of individuals engaged in, or concerned with, the ethical administration and/or support of student financial aid. Our mission is to promote and provide quality training and professional development opportunities, to advocate and support financial aid programs, and to facilitate effective communication and coordination among interrelated professional associations, thereby serving the needs and interests of students and postsecondary institutions.
MASFAA is comprised of over 750 financial aid administrators from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, West Virginia and Wisconsin. If you are involved in the administration of financial aid in one of these states, I encourage you to become a MASFAA member (click on the “Member Services” link to the left of my comments for the on-line membership application).
Our website contains information to help practicing financial aid professionals effectively administer financial aid to students. This is the place to find information on upcoming training opportunities; a calendar of regional and state events; details about our annual conference; our newsletter; and, volunteer opportunities. I encourage you to explore each of the options and to visit the site often to see what’s new.
I am honored to be able to lead this organization for the coming year. Please feel free to contact me or any of the Executive Board members with suggestions or comments you have about how our association can better serve the membership or a particular professional need you may have. You can find our contact information under the Leadership link to the left.
Thank you, and welcome to MASFAA! Paula Luff, 2011-12 MASFAA President
