2005-06 MASFAA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL REPORT

1. Summary of activities:

The Committee held a teleconference on February 22, 2006. Numerous items were discussed as reported below.

Two nominations were submitted to NASFAA for the NASFA Leadership Award.

The missed 35 and 40 year service awards will be recognized in the same manner as the other service awards. We have been working with the site committee on the recognition of all awards. A PowerPoint presentation and a “Wall of Fame” will be created for the service award recipients.

The state presidents have been contacted to remind their membership of the August 1 cutoff for service awards. The Iowa president has been contacted regarding the student success story for the conference.

The awards nomination form has been updated on the web.

2. Activities planned, not yet completed:

The committee is discussing different ways of recognizing retirees.

The request for nominations will be sent out by May 15.

The committee will be finalizing all the details with the site committee regarding the award presentation.

Press release for award recipients.

Nominations for Lifetime Achievement Award.
