2005-06 MASFAA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL REPORT

1.  Summary of activities:                 

 

Held inaugural College Goal Sunday program on February 12th.  382 families attended sessions held at 12 locations throughout the state.

 

Sent two representatives, our President-Elect for 2007-2008 and Secretary-Elect, to the NASFAA Leadership Conference in Washington DC.

 

Set-up our MASFAA State Exchanges with Michigan (import) Minnesota (export).

 

WASFAA Representatives testified at the State Capitol on effects of pending state legislation that takes away state grant eligibility for two years for students who are convicted of the manufacture and sale of illegal drugs.

 

WASFAA Executive Committee met and voted to provide one set of free training materials to each school that attends the NASFAA training this upcoming fall.

 

2.  Activities planned, not yet completed:

 

Spring Conference - April 26-28.  Leadership Development Retreat, June 6-8.  President’s Retreat, June. 

 

Mailing MASFAA membership postcards to all WASFAA members.
