Goals and Objectives –

Provide updates to the membership when significant legislative action occurs or is under consideration.
Advise the MASFAA President when it would be appropriate to write a letter of concern to legislators on behalf of the organization.
Update the MASFAA web site so the information on legislative issues is more accessible and informative.

Year-To-Date Activities—

Monitored various legislation and events regarding both Reauthorization and Reconciliation as it applies to federal educational funding.
Collaborated with various entities in order to keep abreast of happenings in Washington, D.C.
Committee collaborated and authored Reauthorization/Reconciliation position paper that was mailed to all MASFAA Senators and Representatives on December 1, 2005.
As of 6/30/2006, compiled approximately 125 information pieces from various sources that were disseminated via the MASFAA listserv to all MASFAA members.
Participated on MASFAA Executive Board as Chair of MASFAA Federal Issues Committee.
