President's
Message
by Dan Mann, MASFAA President
Greetings!
Welcome to the Winter 2005 edition of the MASFAA Moments Newsletter.
The newsletter is designed to keep you updated on activities of
MASFAA, our state associations, and our individual members, as
well as provide information that is useful to each of us as financial
aid administrators. I hope that you will take the time to review.
This newsletter highlights the 43rd annual MASFAA conference
that was recently held in Charleston, WV. Congratulations to President
Howard Thomas, Program Co-Chairs Leo Hertling and JoAnn Ross,
and Local Arrangements Chair Candi Frazier for putting together
another outstanding MASFAA conference. Also, thanks to our colleagues
from West Virginia for their hospitality and making this event
a huge success!
This newsletter also provides information on the goals and activities
of the 2005-06 MASFAA Executive Council. If you have any questions
related to these items, please feel free to contact me or a member
of the Executive Council.
Thanks to Michiale Schneider for serving as our 2005-06 MASFAA
Newsletter editor. If you have an article, research, best practice
or other items that you wish to include in future newsletters,
please send to
Michiale. Our newsletter is only as good as the materials
that are provided.
Finally, thank you for the opportunity to serve as your MASFAA
president. Please let me know if you have suggestions on how MASFAA
can better serve our membership. I look forward to seeing many
of you as I travel throughout the MASFAA region during the upcoming
year.
Dan Mann
MASFAA President
