State Update - Minnesota
From the Desk of John Pogue, President
It
is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Sue
McMahon, Associate Director of Financial Aid, at Metro State
University in St. Paul. Sue had been battling cancer. Those
of us that new her will miss he greatly. She was a pleasure
to work with and those of us in the Metro area will miss her
and her insights at our meetings.
Herald Johnson has announced his retirement from Augsburg College
effective July 1, 2006. Herald has been at Augsburg for 38 years
and has been very active in MAFAA and in MASFAA over the years.
Herald has been MAFAA President twice, once in 1990-91 and again
in 2001-02. We are hoping that Herald enjoys his retirement
but are saddened by his departure. Herald is a one of the people
that we rely on for the historical perspective of our association,
and to many of us he was a mentor on involvement in financial
aid.
As we start the new year the MAFAA Officers are:
-
John Pogue, President
-
Scott Roelke, President-Elect
-
Pam Engebretson, Past President
