There is no question that this has been a challenging season for our profession. We are navigating significant change, answering difficult questions, implementing new requirements, and continuing to show up every day for students and families—even when we don’t have all the answers ourselves.
That is exactly why gathering together matters.
The 2026 MASFAA Annual Conference, October 18–21 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is our opportunity to step away from the daily demands for a few days and be reminded that we are not navigating this work alone. It’s a chance to learn from one another, share what’s working (and maybe what isn’t!), reconnect with colleagues who understand the work, and return home with new ideas, renewed energy, and a stronger sense of community.
In difficult times, greatness doesn’t happen because one person has all the answers. It happens when we gather—when we share, support, listen, laugh, learn, and move forward together.
